A new Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TURKPATENT and CNIPA, which includes sharing of information and experience.
TÜRKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK shared green technology applications and TÜRKPATENT projects in our country at the Third Belt and Road High-Level Conference on Intellectual Property, held in China. Within the scope of the conference, a new Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TÜRKPATENT and CNIPA, which includes sharing of information and experience.
TÜRKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK attended the Third Belt and Road High-Level Conference on Intellectual Property held in China on September 11-13, organized by China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the and the China National Copyright Administration.
DURAK made a presentation on the “Intellectual Property’s Role in Promoting Green and Sustainable Development” session held on the second day of the conference, including examples of good practices in our country and projects carried out by TÜRKPATENT regarding the role of intellectual property in supporting innovation in green technologies, achieving Sustainable Development Goals and developing solutions to climate change problems.
New Agreements in the Field of Intellectual Property Between the Two Offices
TÜRKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK and CNIPA Commissioner Dr. Shen CHANGYU held a bilateral meeting within the scope of the conference.
During the meeting, DURAK and CHANGYU signed a Memorandum of Understanding between TÜRKPATENT and CNIPA, covering issues such as sharing of knowledge and experience, capacity building, education and development of information technologies.
The Third Belt and Road High-Level Conference on Intellectual Property is organized within the scope of the efforts to implement the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” initiatives, which are referred to as the “Belt and Road Initiative - BRI” in short, and being held with high-level participation from various countries, as to the importance of cooperation in the field of intellectual property.
