The awards at the International Invention Fair (ISIF'24) were presented to their owners by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Kasım GÖNÜLLÜ and TURKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK.
The awards at the 9th International Invention Fair (ISIF'24) organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT) were presented to their owners by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Kasım GÖNÜLLÜ and TURKPATENT President Prof. Dr. M. Zeki DURAK at the ceremony, 5 October 20024, held at Adana TEKNOFEST.
The ceremony was attended also by Middle East Technical University (METU) President Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL, Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) President Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, Turkish Industrial Property Valuation, Engineering and Consulting Services Inc. (TURKSMD) General Manager Sacide Kasapoğlu and Informatics Valley General Manager Erkam TÜZGEN.
ISIF'24, which was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and in cooperation with TÜRKPATENT, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the International Federation of Inventors' Association (IFIA), attracted participation from 16 countries.
In the evaluation made by the jury, the winners were determined from 354 inventions, 298 of which are domestic and 56 of which are foreign.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Kasım GÖNÜLLÜ stated in his speech at the award ceremony that the fair has been organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST for the last 5 years.
Stating that the fair hosted over 4 thousand technologies from 62 countries in 8 years, GÖNÜLLÜ said, "ISIF-24 is not only an area where inventions are exhibited, but also a completely interactive organization where generation of qualified idea comes to the fore by bringing together many investors from around the world."
GÖNÜLLÜ congratulated the participants who received awards,
TÜRKPATENT President Muhammed Zeki DURAK also noted the following:
"According to the World Intellectual Property Report, we have ranked 17th in the world in domestic patent applications. We have ranked 4th in the world and first in Europe in domestic trademark applications. We also rose to 2nd place in the world for the first time in the history in domestic design applications. These figures show that our country deserves significant success. The success will continue."
Following the speeches, the best foreign, domestic and academic invention awards of TÜRKPATENT, WIPO and IFIA were handed out to their winners.
